Introduction

The MESMER Program, launched in October 2022, aims to support 72,200 MSMEs and create 410,800 jobs. To enhance BDS delivery for MSMEs, Motive Africa invites highly qualified individuals to participate in a transformative Training of Trainers (Certification) program designed to elevate skills in financial management, entrepreneurship, and facilitation for the robust support of MSMEs. Successful candidates will assume pivotal roles in Training and coaching MSMEs through comprehensive capacity building.

Program Overview

The Certification program is precisely crafted to equip participants with advanced expertise and practical proficiency in:

 

    • Equipping for impactful ToT programs tailored to the unique needs of MSMEs in financial management, entrepreneurship, and facilitation.

    • Mastering effective facilitation techniques to foster dynamic learning environments and stimulate engagement.

    • Providing individualized coaching support to MSMEs, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

    • Leveraging innovative methodologies and cutting-edge tools to drive MSME development.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Certification program, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

 

    • A minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as finance, economics, business administration, or related disciplines.

    • A proven track record of three years of experience in entrepreneurship, business development, and/or financial management fields.

    • Demonstrated experience in working with MSMEs or related sectors, showcasing a deep understanding of their challenges and opportunities in regions.

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.

    • Proven ability to facilitate group discussions and training sessions, creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences.

    • Fluency in local language(s) and proficiency in Amharic and English, facilitating effective communication and knowledge transfer

Selection Process

A comprehensive selection process will be implemented to identify the most suitable candidates for the Certification program. The process will encompass:

 

    • A thorough review of submitted application materials.

    • Written assessments to evaluate knowledge and understanding of business development, entrepreneurship, coaching, and facilitation principles.

    • In-depth interviews to assess interpersonal skills, communication abilities, and alignment with the program’s goals.
